Church services for Sunday, January 25, 2026 have been cancelled due to adverse weather conditions.
The Epiphany of our Lord will be commemorated on Monday, Jan. 5, 2026.
After focusing on the Incarnation of our Lord — God becoming flesh — during the 12 days of Christmas, the season of Epiphany emphasizes the manifestation or self-revelation of God in that same flesh of Christ.
The children of St Paul presented a program called C-H-R-I-S-T-M-A-S on Christmas Eve in which the children displayed a sign for each letter of the word Christmas while the speaker read the word phrase and the matching Bible verse. The congregation sang hymns that corresponded to that letter and the children pantomimed the hymn "Away in a Manger." The service closed with candlelight and the singing of "Silent Night, Holy Night." Food, fun and fellowship followed in the church basement as the congregation visited and wished each other a Merry Christmas.
Martin Luther (portrayed by Chuck Redlin) paid a visit to St Paul on October 26 and spoke to the children of the congregation during the children's chat. Martin explained that he lived a long time ago in Germany and helped "reform" the church so that it would teach what the Bible said.

St Paul celebrated LWML (Lutheran Women in Mission) Sunday on Oct 5 with a special service. The ladies presented their mite boxes and recited their pledge to the Lord's service. The mite box donations came to $322.50 and will be sent to the national LWML to help fund the 2025-2027 mission grants. A special thank you to all for making this a special day in the Lord's service!
St Paul hosted a Friendship Saturday on Sept 13 at Pop's Park. The White family hosted the event which included a devotion led by Pastor Mark Fakih then lunch and fellowship. There were 32 people in attendance who praised and thanked God for the rain His graciously sent along with His Son who died on the cross for our sins. The uplifting afternoon was enjoyed by all and will possibly be an annual event in the future for the St Paul family!
St Paul hosted the Bass Lake Ministry at the Melody Drive-In at Bass Lake on June 22nd, July 20th and Aug 17th this summer.
A children's chat was added this summer to reach out to younger attendees. The June 22nd chat was titled "Putting on the Armor of God" taken from Ephesians 6:10-18. The July 20 chat was postponed due to a rain storm that brought much needed rain to the region. The Aug 17th chat was titled "Fishers of Men" taken from Matthew 4:19.
Julie Hanus explained the meanings of the verses using everyday objects, toys and games the children could see and touch. Lauren Redlin would demonstrate these objects, toys and games to help explain these meanings to the youngsters. A craft with the same message was given to the children to take home and assemble to reinforce the theme of the day. Pastor Fakih supported Julie and Lauren with loving guidance and suggestions.
On May 25, 2025 the members of St Paul honored our military veterans who bravely served in the US armed forces to protect our country and our freedom to worship God. Tyler Brooke (US Army), Franklin Furr (US Air Force) and George Vandy (US Army) were honored at this special service. Pastor Fakih said prayers for our current military members for safety and God's continued blessings on our country and people all around the world.
Easter Sunday 2025 was celebrated by the congregation of St Paul with a sunrise service followed by breakfast in the church basement.
The Sunday School children walked into the sanctuary during the first hymn waving palms similar to the crowds of Jerusalem that waved palms as Jesus passed by riding a donkey.
The congregation sang "All Glory, Laud and Honor" as the children then stood in front of the altar continuing to wave the palms.
We hope you and your family will have a warm and spirit-filled experience with us as we worship and fellowship together at our services, events, and ministries.
We'd also like to invite you to make an online prayer request. You're prayer request opens the door, and God is waiting patiently on the other side of that door, at all times, in all situations, to join with you. Many blessings to you,
Reverend Mark Fakih
